96.9 Radio Humber
(2 minute read)
In the summer of 2020, I had the opportunity to work as a Social Media Intern for 96.9 Radio Humber, Canada’s first station that plays “All-Canadian” music.
As the intern, I primarily focused on creating and editing original videos and graphics to be shared on Radio Humber’s social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and occasionally YouTube). These videos would sometimes be promotional content for the station itself, promotions for new releases by Canadian artists, or educational content for students in the Humber College Radio programs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this work was done completely remote and it presented me with a unique opportunity to figure out ways to create content without being able to go on location. I've shared some of those results in the categories below.
All Works
Due to the variety and quantity of content produced over the summer, I have divided projects by theme. Click any of the links below to learn more.
Learning Outcomes
This was a really exciting and rewarding opportunity to see how my skills in videography and graphics could work in other ways, not just in the Humber community, but also in the Canadian radio and music industry. A lot of what I learned from these projects was applied to projects that I've worked on since then, including the CPRS ACE Awards.
